Participating in Birdies for Charity means organizations receive 100% of all donations—provided they are a verified and approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit (documentation required).
Additionally, a $100,000 bonus pool will be distributed among participating charities based on their fundraising efforts.
Key dates to know:
- Nonprofit registration opens October 15, 2026
- Donor participation begins November 11, 2026
- Nonprofit Application Deadline: Nonprofits must submit their application by Friday, January 29, to be eligible for the 2027 program.
- All donations, including manual donations (cash or check), must be submitted along with the donation report form by 5:00pm EST. on Wednesday, February 24, 2027.
How It Works
Pledge & Guess:
Donors contribute a minimum $20 donation to the charity of their choice and guess the number of birdies that will be made by PGA Tour players during The Cognizant Classic (February 25 – February 28, 2027).
Grand Prize:
One lucky supporter who correctly guesses the total number of birdies made during the tournament (or closest to without going over) will have the chance to win a $10,000 grand prize! The winner may choose to keep the prize or donate it to a participating charity of their choice. If there is a tie, the winner will be determined by tie breaker questions.
Bonus Pool:
The tournament will contribute $100,000 to a bonus pool that will be distributed among participating charities based on their fundraising efforts.
